FSEOG: Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) and Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant are excellent grant options for students wishing to pursue higher studies in the US.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

You must fill out Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSASM) and establish your financial need to your college. Students with extreme financial need and who are expected to receive Federal Pell Grants, will get priority. FSEOG is also called campus based aid as the program is directly administered by financial aid office at participating school.

Award Money for FSEOG

You can receive between $100 and $4,000 a year, depending on your financial need.

Each participating school receives a certain amount of FSEOG funds each year from the U.S. Department of Education’s office of Federal Student Aid. Further FSEOG awards are not made for a particular year, if the school’s FSEOG funds have already been awarded to students.
So, catch the early bird and apply for federal as soon as you can.
