MCAT - International Students

The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is quite important when med schools evaluate an applicant in the United States. A number of medical schools conduct a preliminary screening based entirely on GPA and MCAT scores and secondary applications are not invited, unless certain minimum scores are exceeded.

All applicants must present MCAT scores as a required part of the supporting material for their application at virtually all medical schools.  Most schools require scores made within approximately three years of matriculation.  So, if you aspire to study in the US, MCAT is score the most important prerequisite.

As an international student, you are can take the MCAT exam provided that you meet the eligibility requirements. If you are already doing MBBS degree program or already have. You can register for the MCAT exam without asking for "special permission".

There are no additional eligibility requirements for international students (not from the U.S., Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands).
