LSAT: Law School Admission Test

If you're planning to study law in the US, then LSAT is the exam for you.The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is taken for admission to law school in the United States, Canada, and many other countries. It measure the reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools  use as one of the several factors in assessing aspirant. It is a half-day test  that can be taken 4 times a year at specific centers.

Examination in June

In the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and some other countries, the LSAT is administered on a Saturday, except in June, when it is generally administered on a Monday.

Taking the test

:Many law schools ask that the LSAT should be taken by December for admission in the following fall. However, it is advised to take the test earlier in June or September.

Saturday Sabbath observers: 

  • The test is also administered on a weekday following the Saturday test administrations.

  • You can take the LSAT on weekdays, usually Monday, or during June .

  • The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) requires you to register early. There are many benefits to register early. For example; you get nearest center, more time to prepare for the test and plan better for your law program and scholarships.

Eligibility

As such there is no eligibility criteria for LSAT. Anyone who completes the registration process and pays fees completely and timely can appear for LSAT.

Refund

If you are unable to take the test and you wish to request for refund. It is advisable to apply for refund before the test date deadline.

After Deadline

If  you were unable to withdraw your LSAT registration by the refund deadline. No refund will be issued. Your LSAT registration cannot be reinstated once withdrawn.

Test Date Change

The easiest way to change your test date is through your LSAC.org account. You may also use the  form or a signed written request along with the fees before the deadline.
