GED - Scores
The scores achieved by you in the General Educational Development (GED) is the estimate of your academic knowledge and skill in each subject compared to the recently passed out high school graduates.The scores achieved are the sum of the two scores, standard score and percentile score.
Standard score: compares your performance in the subject to the performance of a high school senior. Standard score ranges from 200 to 800. The average standard score is 500 for each subject.
Percentile rank: is the percentage of high school seniors who earned scores at or below your test score. Percentile score ranges from 1 to 99 In order to pass in the test you should demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill that is as great or greater than 60 percent of graduating high school seniors.
A percentile rank of 73 means that 73 percent of graduating high school seniors earned your score or lower.
