ISEE - Score

The test scores are based on the total number of correct answers and there is no penalty for a wrong answer. The score derived by adding the total number of correct  answers, these scores are called raw scores. The scaled score is derived from the raw  score. The scaled score is then compared to the previous three year score pool of applicants of the same grade to determine the student’s percentile ranking. Stanines( a method of scaling test score)  are also reported to represent the percentiles.

Receiving the score report: After taking the test, answer sheets and essays are sent to the ISEE Operations Office for machine scoring of the four sections.

Since, the exam is computer based the candidates get the score almost instantly. The Multiple choice section is scored by computer and the essay part that you type on the computer is send to the school along with the score report.The essay  is the photocopy of the written essay. The copies of the Individual Student Report (ISR) and the un-scored essay may be sent to six schools or as instructed by you during the exam. If you would like the ISR to be sent to more than six schools, additional fees will apply.  

Schools will receive a copy of the student score report and essay within  7-10 working days.
