LSAT Fees

To appear for LSAT and use CAS you need to pay certain fee amount in US Dollar as detailed below. Fees will be charged during LSAT registration. Also if you cancel the test refund policy is applied.

Basic Fees

  • LSAT (includes LSAT Writing): USD200
  • Credential Assembly Service (CAS): USD195
  • Law School Report: USD45

Auxiliary LSAT Fees

Note: The following fees are charged in addition to the Basic Fees.

  • Test Center Change: USD125 (does not apply to LSAT-Flex)
  • Test Date Change: USD125 (does not apply to LSAT-Flex)
  • Nonpublished Test Center: USD390 (does not apply to LSAT-Flex)
  • Score Preview (only available to first-time test takers)

    • If you sign up prior to the first day of testing for a given test administration: USD45 
    • If you sign up during a specified period after testing concludes: USD75
  • Score Audit: USD125 (or USD62.50 if you’d been pre-approved for a fee waiver)

Refunds

Note: Figure reflects amount refunded to candidate.

  • LSAT Registration Refund: USD50
  • CAS Registration Refund: USD50

Forms of Payments

For online registrants, LSAC accepts the following:

VISA, MasterCard, American Express, DISCOVER credit cards (account will be charged in U.S. dollars)

All fees are charged in U.S. dollars. If you live outside of the United States, your country’s taxes and exchange rate may affect the fee

Some candidates may be eligible to apply for fee waiver. To be eligible for an LSAC fee waiver, you must either:

  • Be a U.S. or Canadian citizen.
  • Be a U.S. national.
  • Be a resident of either the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RFI), the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), or the Republic of Palau.
  • Be a permanent resident alien of the U.S. with an Alien Registration Receipt Card (I-151 or I-551).
  • Have temporary protected status in the U.S.
  • Have been granted deferred action under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
  • Have applied for deferred action under DACA.
  • Be seeking asylum in the United States through the affirmative asylum process and have filed Form I-589 with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Be a permanent resident of Canada.
  • Be a Protected Person/Convention Refugee in Canada.

You must complete a fee waiver application and provide supporting tax forms and other documentation, as requested by LSAC.
