PSAT/NMSQT - Scholarships

By taking the PSAT/NMSQT, you qualify to take the various scholarships programs. Scholarship winners are chosen on the basis of their aptitude, talent, and skills. (NMSC) programs are regarded as some of the highest educational honors that can be attained by any U.S. high school student. Students who achieve scholarship are considered to be academically successful.

NMSC uses the Selection Index score (the cumulative sum of the critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills scores) on the PSAT/NMSQT as an initial step to designate groups of students to be honored in the test. As a co-sponsor of the PSAT/NMSQT, (NMSC) receives all students' scores.

Who is considered?	All Finalists compete with all other Finalists in their state or other selection unit.
