USMLE - Scores
The USMLE score reports are prepared by National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) of the candidates. The score report for Step 1, 2 CK or 3 ranges between 140 to 260. The performance in Step 2 CS is reported only as “Pass” or “Fail”.
The score reports and transcripts shows the scores of the candidates for Step 1, Step 2 CK and Step 3 and whether, a candidate has passed or failed in Step 2 CS test. The overall pass or fail status in all the tests is also mentioned. Candidates may obtain test scores from Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) , Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and NBME. The authority you need to contact depends on the examinations you have taken and where you had asked your score report transcript to be sent.
