Maritime Academy (Castine, ME)
The Early Action application deadline is December 31 and the Regular Decision deadline is March 1. Marine Engineering requires a strong background of Math and Science including precalculus or calculus. Scores of either Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT) are considered. Also, GED i.e. General Educational Development is considered for the admission. The General Educational Development (GED) test is a four-subject high school equivalency tests which, when passed, certify that the taker has American high-school level academic skills. The four subjects are Science, Social Studies, and Mathematical Reasoning, and Reasoning through Language Arts. Also, MMA Application form must be filled for admission. Official transcripts for any academic work completed outside of your home-school program, Teacher Evaluation form, preferably completed by someone other than your home-school coordinator if possible, Proof of high school graduate or equivalency and Academic portfolio with a detailed description of the home-school curriculum must be provided.
Massachusetts Maritime Academy (Buzzards Bay, MA)
To be considered for admission to Massachusetts Maritime Academy, candidates must complete high school courses in Math, English and Science. Students interested in being considered as early action candidates must complete an application by November 1. Application form, Official transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, Two Letters of Recommendation, Essay, and application fee is required for the admission.
Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ)
For Undergraduate admission, the early decision application deadline is November 15 and regular decision is February 1.Supplement information that must also be submitted by the application deadline include: Secondary School Report with official transcript, at least one teacher recommendation, SAT or ACT scores, interview, personal statement, and for international students, the financial verification form. Interviews are strongly recommended for all applicants to Stevens. Also, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is considered. For graduate admission, an online application form, two Letters of Recommendation, Official transcripts from all institutions where you received credit, GRE scores, Personal Statement, and Resume/CV are required.
SUNY Maritime College (Throggs Neck, NY)
The fall early decision application deadline is November 15 and Fall Regular Decision is January 31. A Common Application form, Official transcripts, Two Letters of Recommendation, Essay or Personal Statement of 250-650 words, and Standardized test scored of SAT/ACT are required. Also, Students need at least three years of Science and Math. For graduate admission, the fall application deadline is April 30. An online application, Short essay, Resume, transcripts with GPA around 3.0, GMAT or GRE scores, and TOEFL/IELTS scores are considered. A minimum score of 79 is required for the Internet Based TOEFL and a minimum score of 6.0 is required for the IELTS.
Texas A &M University (College Station, TX)
For admissions, the Texas Common Application form, essay and application fee is required. Also, SAT or ACT test scores is considered. For graduate admission, application form, Letters of Recommendation, Official Transcripts, GRE or GMAT scores, and Statement of purpose are required. Applicants must submit their GRE or GMAT scores 6-8 weeks prior to the application date.
