GMAT - Introduction

GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) is a standardized examination that asses your skills developed during college and how would you use it to excel in a business school. GMAT Score is necessary to apply for business schools in United States, Europe and many other countries.

Global Exam: Anyone can appear in GMAT Test; however, it is advisable for college students as GMAT score is used for admission into post graduate management programs in graduate courses in United States, Europe, Asia  and other geographies. GMAT is held globally in many locations.

Deadlines: Different schools have admission deadlines for graduate management programs, so it is advisable check with the schools personally to make sure your GMAT exam appointment is early enough to allow your scores to be reported before the schools’ application deadline. Available time slots at test centers change continuously based on capacity and continuing registration.

The GMAT is available year-round and on demand, which offers test takers greater flexibility while registering for the exam. One can take the GMAT once every  month and not more than five times in a year.

Identify proof: When registering for the GMAT exam, be careful with the spelling of your name and your birth date, they should exactly match with that printed on the identification proof you will present at the test center. If this information does not match, you will not be permitted to take the test and your test fee will be forfeited.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to take the GMAT test.

  • If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you must get permission from a parent or legal guardian. If you do need permission, you must provide written proof of your guardian’s consent prior to appearing in  the exam.

  • The only required eligibility for taking GMAT is that a person should be a graduate.

  • You must wait at least five years if you have previously achieved a perfect total score of 800.
