Management Major as a study discipline
A Management Major program prepare students to join workforce after college. This course takes 4 years to complete. After successful completion of coursework Bachelor's Degree in Management is awarded. At this point students have two choices, either they can go for a Business Masters/Business Diploma/MBA or join work force. Entrepreneurship is one more option candidates can chose. But those without a business background are highly recommended by experts to find a job first, gain real time industry experience and then chose a graduate/graduate diploma or go on entrepreneurship journey. Also for admission majority of graduate schools may ask for 'Post Management Major' industry experience. Different grad schools may have different criteria.

Bachelor's degree in Applied Management is also offered by many colleges across United State. The coursework focuses on specific management curriculum while bypassing any extra coursework. A typical bachelor's degree program in applied management may require you to study courses like financial decision making, managerial accounting, organizational behavior, and servant leadership etc. With a 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Applied Management candidates can join industry for positions like
- General Manager
- Sales Director
- Manager Analyst
Management Major is offered as On Campus Program and Online Program. After successful completion candidates may take tests like
GRE/
GMAT etc to pursue business masters. Though not recommended often but score in these tests define your Grad School Readiness and Work Readiness. One such test score depicts what you have learnt through 4 years of college and if you can apply the knowledge and skills towards grad school success or in a managerial position.
