MCAT Format
The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) tests the knowledge of the candidate in biology, chemistry and physics. Besides, MCAT also assess the ability of the candidates to solve problem, critical analysis and writing skills.
MCAT Test Pattern
MCAT asks Multiple Choice Questions from the following four areas:
Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems
- No of Questions: 59
- Duration: 95 Minutes
Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems
- No. of Questions: 59
- Duration: 95 Minutes
Psychological, Social and Biological Foundations of Behavior
- No. of Questions: 59
- Duration: 95 Minutes
Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills
- No. of Questions: 53
- Duration: 90 Minutes
Void Questions
MCAT Test Duration
- There is optional break of 10 minutes between sections.Total Time Required to answer all sections: 6 Hours 15 Minutes
- Total Time Required to be spend at Test Centre: 7 Hours 27 Minutes
MCAT Testing Limits
- You can book only one MCAT test date at a time.
- Over a year you cannot write more than 3 MCAT Test
- Over 2 years you cannot write more than 4 MCAT Test
- In a lifetime you cannot write more than 7 MCAT Test
